L-arginine hydrochloride is a white or nearly white almost odorless crystalline powder. Melts and decomposes at about 235°C. Stable in dry state. The pH of the 3% aqueous solution is about 5.7. Soluble in water (90%, 25 ° C). Slightly soluble in hot ethanol, insoluble in ether.
