Rocuronium bromide competitively binds to choline receptors on the synapses of motor nerve endings to antagonize the action of acetylcholine. Rocuronium bromide is an adjunct to general anesthesia and is used for endotracheal intubation during routine induction of anesthesia to maintain muscle relaxation during surgery.
