2-Hydroxy-4'-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2-methylpropiophenone is a highly efficient non-yellowing UV photoinitiator used to initiate UV polymerization of unsaturated prepolymer systems, especially suitable for low-odor, water-based acrylates and unsaturated polyester resins. The active hydroxyl group in the 2-hydroxy-4'-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-2-methylpropiophenone molecule can easily react with unsaturated resins.
