Cefaclor is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with similar antibacterial effects as cephalexin. It has good antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, hemolytic and Streptococcus viridian, and Streptococcus pneumonia. It also has strong antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria such as Salmonella, Shigella, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus mirabilis, etc.
Cefaclor is mainly used for urinary tract infections, upper respiratory tract infections, skin, and soft tissue infections, etc.
