The β-lactam structure of ceftriaxone sodium acts on the carboxypeptidase, endopeptide endonuclease and transpeptidase of the plasma membrane of bacterial cells, which are involved in cell synthesis and cell division, which lead to cell wall defects and cell death, inhibit the mucin synthesis of bacterial cell wall, and achieve therapeutic effects. Ceftriaxone sodium is used for the prevention of lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract and biliary tract infection, abdominal infection, pelvic infection, skin and soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection, sepsis, meningitis, etc. caused by sensitive pathogenic bacteria, and infection during surgery.
