Cetilistat is a long-acting and potent specific gastrointestinal lipase inhibitor, which plays a therapeutic role by forming a covalent bond with the active serine site of gastric lipase and pancreatic lipase in the stomach and small intestine to inactivate the enzyme, the inactivated enzyme can not hydrolyze the fats in food mainly triglycerides into absorbable free fatty acids and monoacylglycerols, undigested triglycerides can not be absorbed by the body, thereby reducing calorie intake and controlling weight.
