Lornoxicam has a strong antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The mechanism of action of lornoxicam includes: (1) inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) activity, but lornoxicam does not inhibit the activity of 5-lipid oxidase, so it does not inhibit the synthesis of leukotrienes, nor does it shunt arachidonic acid to 5-lipid oxidase.
