Miconazole nitrate is an antifungal drug. It inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol, the component of fungal cell membranes, destroys the structure of cell membranes, increases the permeability of cell membranes, leads to leakage of intracellular components and inhibits the utilization of glucose, prevents nutrient uptake, and ultimately causes fungal cells to die.
Miconazole nitrate is a imidazole derivative and is a broad-spectrum antifungal. It has inhibitory and killing effects on skin fungi, candida, yeast and other algae, ascomycetes, cryptococcus, etc., and also has a strong antibacterial effect on gram-positive cocci and bacilli. Its indications are: (1) Skin and nail infections caused by skin fungi, yeast and other fungi. Such as: athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm of the hands, tinea corporis, tinea versicolor, tinea capitis, tinea barbel, onychomycosis, skin, finger (toe) onychopsis; Angular cheilitis, otitis externa, and secondary infections caused by gram-positive bacteria. (2) Vaginal infections and secondary infections caused by yeast (such as candida, etc.) and gram-positive bacteria.
