Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), as a synthetic water-soluble polymer compound, has the general properties of water-soluble polymer compounds, such as colloidal protection, film-forming, adhesion, hygroscopicity, solubilization or coalescing, complexation ability of certain compounds, etc. However, its most distinctive and therefore valued is its excellent solubility and physiological compatibility. In synthetic polymers, PVP, which is soluble in both water and most organic solvents, has low toxicity and good physiological compatibility. The excellent performance of PVP makes it more and more widely used although it is more expensive, the product has solid or aqueous solution, and the solid appearance is white powder.
