Propafenone hydrochloride is used for the prevention and treatment of ventricular or supraventricular ectopic maneuvering, tachycardia, pre-excitation syndrome and prevention of ventricular fibrillation after electroshock cardioversion.
Propafenone hydrochloride has the following pharmacological effects: 1. Propafenone hydrochloride is a class Ic sodium channel blocker, which is a broad-spectrum antiarrhythmic drug. 2. In vivo experiments have shown that propafenone can relax coronary artery and bronchial smooth muscle. 3. It has a local anesthetic effect similar to that of procaine.
