Sulfadimethoxine sodium salt is a long-acting sulfonamide antimicrobial agent used to treat a variety of infections such as respiratory, urethral, intestinal, and soft tissue infections.
Sulfadimethoxine sodium salt has a dual pharmacological effect, both antibacterial and antiprotozoal. Sulfadimethoxine sodium salt is sensitive to gram-positive bacteria (streptococcus, pneumococcus, staphylococcus) and some negative bacteria (salmonella, Pasteurella, brucella, actinomycetes), swine dysentery treponema, etc. Sulfadimethoxine sodium salt is sensitive to chicken leukocoria, coccidia, and toxoplasma in terms of antiprotozoal. It has a growth-promoting effect, and when added in small doses, it can significantly increase the egg production of laying hens and improve the feed conversion rate.
