Tetracycline hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, with bactericidal effect at high concentrations, in addition to common gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, most rickettsial species, mycoplasma, chlamydia species, atypical mycobacteria, spirochetes, actinomycetes, anthrax, Listeria monocytogenes, clostridial bacillus, Nocardia species are sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride. Tetracycline hydrochloride is better than gram-negative bacteria in gram-positive bacteria, but it is resistant to enterococci and penicillin-resistant gonococci. Tetracycline hydrochloride has good antibacterial effect on gram-negative bacteria such as Vibrio, Brucella, Campylobacter, Yersinia, etc., and has no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Tetracycline HCL is an antibiotic used to treat non-bacterial infections such as chlamydia infection, rickettsial disease, mycoplasma pneumonia, and relapsing fever, and also for brucellosis, cholera, rabbit fever, rat bite fever, anthrax, tetanus, plague, actinomycosis, gas gangrene, and respiratory, bile duct, urinary tract infections, and skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria.
