Tilmicosin phosphate is a chemical semi-synthetic intracyclic lipid antibiotic, which is currently a new type of drug dedicated to animals, with a wide antibacterial spectrum. It has a strong inhibitory effect on gram-negative bacteria and positive bacteria, and also has a strong inhibitory effect on a variety of mycoplasma and spirochetes.
Telmicosin phosphate is clinically mainly used for respiratory diseases caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida, and livestock and poultry shapes.

Tilmicosin phosphate is a salt of the semi-synthetic antibiotic derivative of desmycosin (tylosin B), a minor co-metabolite of tylosin, prepared by mixing the active tilmicosin with phosphoric acid to provide improved solubility and enhanced pharmacokinetics. Tilmicosin is a broad sepctrum antibiotic, providing good protection against Pasteurella in livestock.
